Legacy Homes Assisted Living

Legacy Homes Assisted Living and Adult Day Care was founded in the Spring of 1998 by Alan and Eileen Merritt.  Legacy sits on 5 acres of groomed lawn, with a large pond, water fall, large shade trees raised gardens for residents and walking path, all surround by a 360 degree view of the mountains. Our staff is very loving and understanding, they love what they do.

At Legacy Homes our goal is to keep your loved one as independent as possible.  As if they were living in their own home. We are a small facility licensed for 16 residents which offers your loved one a family like atmosphere. We provide a safe environment and help maintain self-help skills with activities of daily living. Our plan of care is a structured comprehensive program in a protective setting.  At Legacy Homes Assisted Living we assist our residents to remain in the community and as active as possible.

                                               2 small dressers, TV and Stand, Rocking chair or
                                               recliner, small fridge, ect.

                                                (small fridge, microwave, and small sink.)

You may be wondering what is all included for your loved ones here at Legacy. They are as follows: Room and Board, meals, utilities, 24/7 supervision, recreational activities, community outings, shopping trips, outdoor excursions, house keeping, laundry services, transportation and medication monitoring, and supervision of bathing and dressing.

Personal Assistance

• Dressing / Clothing selection
• Bathing or shower assistance
• Oral hygiene
• Shaving and hair care

Here are a few pictures of our main bathroom, where we assist with showers and baths.  It has a large walk in shower and a jetted tub to soak and relax in.

Medication

• Monitoring
• Coordination medications with doctor and pharmacist

Meals

• Three fresh home cooked meals a day
• Snacks
• Tray service to apartments during illness

Transportation

• Planned outings: picnics, fishing float trips, high school plays and fair luncheons.
• Shopping trips personalized to involve all residents.
• Private scheduled medical appointments and local transportation ( $50.00 transport fee)

House Keeping / Laundry

• Bathrooms cleaned daily
• Bed Making
• Room cleaned ( weekly minimum)
• Linen changed as needed ( weekly minimum)
• Laundering of personal clothes

At Legacy we have weekly and daily activities.  We provide full days of interaction with staff and other residents for your loved one from current events, games, movie nights, live band, dancing, special guests, cowboy singer, bible study, bingo, one on one chit chat and even taking a walk out around the grounds for some fresh mountain air.
